We're excited you are here, and we want your experience with us to be magical.
Taking the big step in deciding who to entrust with the health and well-being of your child can be overwhelming. Our independent physicians and professionals are dedicated to providing comprehensive care and establishing root cause solutions to your child's health. We meet our families with warmth, empathy, patience, and an open mind.
We value your time and understand life can be busy. To help, we've outlined a quick overview of what it means to be a part of the Alexandre Centre family.
Pediatric Ages
At the Alexandre Centre, we are here to care for your child from birth to 24 years old. It is a special privilege to grow with your child in their journey and our team are experts in caring for newborns, teenagers, and everyone in between. From well child checks to sore throats and tummy aches – the physicians and professionals at the Alexandre Centre are specially trained to care for your child throughout all stages of their care.
Newborns
Having a baby is an exciting time in a parent's life, and there are so many questions that come with this new journey.
Whether it’s your first child or your fourth, the newborn days can feel like a wild rollercoaster ride! We are here to make sure you have peace of mind, and to celebrate with you as you enter each exciting new chapter!
We welcome expectant parents who haven’t decided on a pediatrician yet to visit our office and meet with the physicians at the Alexandre Centre. This visit can help you to become acquainted with us, talk with us, and ask questions regarding the birth of your baby and our practice.
Toddlers (Ages 1-4)
These important years of your child’s life are a true blessing. From promoting healthy eating and overall wellness to developing motor skills, social habits, and language/speech abilities, we are here to support you in ensuring your child meets all the important milestones that come with being a toddler.
School Age (Ages 5 - 12)
During these formative, school-age years, it’s important for your child to establish healthy habits that will last a lifetime. The collaborative approach to care involves a partnership amongst the independent physicians at the Alexandre Centre, parents, and your child. Together, we can ensure that your child starts school on the right foot.
Teens & Young Adult (Ages 13+)
The teenage years are often a mix of fun, drama, chaos, insight, and transformation. The physicians & professionals at the Alexandre Centre are dedicated to engaging with them on their level, aiming to create an environment that fosters growth. We want your teenager to feel comfortable to open up about any significant health or environmental issues they may be facing.
Pediatric Sick & Injured Care
Nurse Triage Line
Taking your child for sick and injured care can be a scary and stressful experience for both the child and parents. The goal of the independent physicians at the Alexandre Centre is to deliver competent and compassionate medical treatment to every sick or injured child in a caring and comfortable environment. We provide same day access for your sick or injured child’s needs.
We offer empathetic education so that parents and caregivers can better understand their child's symptoms and also understand ways to prevent further illnesses or injuries in the future. We take the time necessary to ensure that every parent understands exactly what their child is experiencing, and we outline the next steps for parents to follow at home.
Not sure if it's an emergency? Give us a call and a nurse will answer! At the Alexandre Centre, the physicians offer a Nurse Triage Line, which provides convenient access to professional medical advice and support. By calling the Nurse Triage Line, you can speak with a highly trained nurse who will assess your child's symptoms, and help you determine the appropriate level of care based on your child's specific needs. This vital healthcare resource can be particularly helpful for those times when you’re unsure if your child should be brought to the emergency room, urgent care, clinic or if care at home would be sufficient.
Our nurse triage line can be reached at 315-882-7664. Our nurses are available during Centre hours. We hope to expand this service further soon!
If your child is ever in a life-threatening emergency situation, please call 911 and have the ambulance take your child to the closest hospital emergency department.
Therapeutic Infusions
Many metabolic, hematologic and genetic disorders require regular corrective intravenous infusions. If you prefer your child to have their infusion in the comfort of your home or the Alexandre Centre where they can relax and play, please contact us to coordinate.
If you suspect your child is dehydrated and may need intravenous fluids, we do offer corrective intravenous fluids in a comfortable environment.

We understand just how many questions parents may have about the health and well-being of their child. Our team is always ready to provide true medical advice and guidance while your child is sick. Talking with our team for professional, clinical advice involves a fee of $40 for up to 15 minutes and $75 for a 30 minute online consultation. Any calls for clarification or quick questions will not have any charges.
